1. Specialist / Engineer, SW Development
Job Description:
We are looking for motivated software development engineers to join us. Your responsibilities will cover module design, implementation and unit and functional test as well as test automation activities. You co-operate closely with verification team to ensure software quality and to make the product development work more effective. You will work in projects as part of Chengdu R&D team using modern agile and iterative software development processes.
Requirements:
Knowledge of Linux or other UNIX-like operating system.
Knowledge of J2EE, C++ or Java programming languages.
Object oriented programming (Java) skills.
Knowledge of database.
Knowledge of GPRS network.
Knowledge of version control tools, such as ClearCase.
Knowledge of network protocols, such as TCP/IP, HTTP, and WAP is a plus.
Knowledge of international standardization is a plus.
Knowledge of Agile and iterative SW development process is a plus.
2. Specialist / Engineer, Integration & Verification
Job Description:
Are you the motivated professional in the area of SW Verification? Nokia Siemens Networks is looking for Integration and Verification Engineers/Specialists to join our development team in Chengdu. You work in projects as a part R&D team using modern agile and iterative software development processes. Your responsibilities cover test planning, test automation development, testing and verification. Also, support for system verification may be required from time to time. Sometimes you need to use your expertise in your area in investigating and answering customer care questions. Note, that we have reserved some room for adjustments in your job profile depending on your level of expertise.
Requirements:
You are a person who usually get's the "big picture" of things quite fast and wants to
understand also the surroundings of your own area.
You must have understanding of SW development processes and you see the
importance of testing in the process.
Previous experience in testing and verification work is definitely preferred.
Basic script language (e.g. Perl), Java and C++ skills are appreciated.
You should also have experience with UNIX and/or Linux OS.
We also value your flair for communicating ideas and your team working skills.
3. Specialist / Engineer, System Verification
Job Description:
Nokia Siemens Networks is looking for motivated engineer in the system verification area of Messaging/Browsing/RichCommunication products development in Chengdu. Your responsibilities will cover efficient and effective verification of the compliance of the products with customer requirements and system requirements, and the release quality criteria. You will work in projects as part of Chengdu R&D team using modern agile and iterative software development processes.
Requirements:
Knowledge of GSM/GPRS network.
Sound Linux or other UNIX-like operating system knowledge.
Familiar with testing tools and test automation systems.
Script programming skill including shell script, Perl, Python.
Database (Oracle, Informix or other relevant DBMS) administration/tuning skills .
Knowledge of MAP, HTTP and TCP/IP protocols.
Knowledge of load balancing and high availability.
Knowledge of international standardization is a plus.
Knowledge of Products such as F5 BigIP, HP ProCurve and EMC CX is a plus.
Knowledge of Agile and iterative SW development process is a plus.
Programming experience (C/C++/Java) knowledge is a plus.
4. Specialist / Engineer, Technical Support
Job Description:
We at Nokia Siemens Networks are seeking technically skilled, service minded persons to be based in Chengdu, China. As a member of our team you are part of our global support organization. This important role in Technical Support offers a wide perspective and changing working conditions. You work both at homebase and on-site abroad, answer to support requests, travel to Customer sites for troubleshooting & installations and work on-call in 24*7 support.
Requirements:
You are an individual contributor.
You have the ability to do troubleshooting in challenging environments.
You are able to identify and solve proactively demanding problems and
communicate them to key stakeholders.
You are a team player willing to share information and support our customers, your
team members and other units within Nokia Siemens Networks.
You possess a good knowledge of IP, Unix/Linux, Internet and Telecommunication
technologies.
General understanding of Care/Maintenance processes is an advantage.

5. Specialist, Database
Job Description:
Nokia Siemens Networks is looking for a motivated database specialist for Browsing product development in Chengdu. Your responsibilities will cover database design, implementation and administration. You co-operate closely with other software developers and verification team to ensure software quality and to make the product development work more effective. You will work in projects as part of Chengdu R&D team using modern agile and iterative software development processes.
Requirements:
You are experienced in database software development.
Sound experience in database products, such as Oracle, Informix and mySQL.
Knowledge of Linux or other UNIX-like operating system.
Object oriented programming (C++, Java) skills.
Knowledge of version control tools, such as ClearCase.

6. Project Manager
Job Description:
Nokia Siemens Networks is looking for Project Managers to join our R&D team in Chengdu, China. This role requires an experienced project team leader, who has good understanding of SW development and verification.
You will be in charge or SW development or verification projects. Your responsibilities cover project planning, follow-up, guiding project members and insuring the quality of deliverables for the product programs.
The work is organized in project teams, which have a close co-operation. This includes teams located on other Nokia Siemens Networks sites, and this adds the international nature to the position. We can also offer you an opportunity to travel sometimes to other countries to meet the colleagues there and agree with them the plans and co-operation. Fluent international communication is needed in this position; therefore good language skills are essential
Requirements:
You have experience in managing a software development team, either as a direct manager or project leader. Team size has varied from five persons to ten or more.
